The Miss Southlake Scholarship Organization is a not for profit, volunteer organization and sponsoring agent for an official preliminary to the Miss Texas and Miss America Scholarship Pageants. The Miss America Scholarship Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation’s leading achievement programs. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available over $45 million in cash and tuition scholarship assistance. It provides young women with a vehicle to further their personal and professional goals and instills a spirit of community service through a variety of unique community based programs. In 2006, the Miss America Organization extended its trusted and celebrated 84-year-old brand to include a national teen program. Miss America’s Outstanding Teen will strive to “Promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens.”
