Shea was named 2nd runner-up in the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant. This was Shea's first attempt at the Miss Texas title. Shea performed a beautiful ballet dance en pointe for the talent portion of the competition during the live telecast. Shea was awarded a $5000 cash scholarship to further her education.
